about

A clan of Shield Dwarves had operated this mine until forty years ago, when it was conquered by a young red dragon names Tzindelor. Hew Hackinstone had enlisted my help in reclaiming and reopening the mine.

The mine itself wasn't well maintained, and there was evidence of a Kobold infestation. The tracks and carts were all still there, but the floor at the bottom of the shaft was littered with charred Dwarven skeletons. A 60-foot-high waterfall poured out of the north wall, forming a large pool about 10-feet-deep. The echoey openness of the mine meant that all that could be heard was the sound of crashing water; this would be perfect to cover my stealthy assault.
